DeCOY is a visual jockey who uses her film making and photographic skills to create images of India that are evocative, personal and compelling to not just electro music, but even punk, rock, metal, acoustic….. She is happiest while creating visual sequences spontaneously, while seeking a connection with the music and DJ/musician/band/sound artist.
Decoy works as a film maker, designer and a visual artist from her studio in Bombay, the teeming hub of India’s artistic and film community. She creates original visual sequences and even beta tests Vj software before they are launched in the market. the tools she uses sometimes are more elaborate than the musicians, thats just how much she is willing to push to give that gig a unique flavor. Filmmaker, Editor, Visual Jockey, Art director, Lighting designer, Sailor… all rolled into one package.
